Every year, on 19 November, we come together to celebrate one of the most important ‘rooms’ in our lives: the bathroom! It may sound strange, but dedicating an entire day to the toilet has a serious and very important meaning. In fact, World Toilet Day is an opportunity to raise awareness on the issue of hygiene and access to safe and decent sanitation, a human right that is often undervalued. But while we reflect on these crucial issues, why not also make the day a bit of fun? That’s why Eco Silver Paper® is here to talk to you about sustainability, hygiene, and even how we can make a difference… even in the bathroom!

A BRILLIANT IDEA FOR AN IMPORTANT CAUSE

It is not only an occasion to smile, it is also a day of awareness: World Toilet Day, established in 2001 by the United Nations, brings attention to the importance of access to adequate sanitary facilities for the more than four billion people in the world who still do not have them. This leads to health risks, as well as hindering education and employment, with serious socio-economic impacts.

Have you ever thought about how much time we spend in the bathroom? According to some estimates, we could spend up to a year of our lives between bathroom breaks! And since the bathroom is one of the most frequently used rooms, not only in the home but also in public places, it is important to make it sustainable and above all completely hygienic!

Our Defendo range of Eco Silver Paper® is designed to do just that: to offer products that achieve the highest levels of hygiene and are environmentally friendly at the same time. The innovation is found within the paper itself, where it contains a natural active ingredient with antibacterial properties based on stabilised silver ions, which minimises the risk of contamination, leaving hands and surfaces clean and safe.

ECO SILVER PAPER®: AN ENVIRONMENTALLY AND HEALTH-FRIENDLY CHOICE

Every time we use Eco Silver Paper® toilet paper, towels or napkins, we are making a responsible choice. In fact, our paper is made from eco-friendly materials and respects the environment throughout the production cycle, reducing the ecological impact of daily activities in the bathroom. In addition, Eco Silver Paper® products help reforest the planet by participating in the Tree-Nation cause, specifically by creating a forest in Burkina Faso (https://tree-nation.com/it/profilo/eco-silver-paper).

Let’s not forget a crucial aspect: Hygiene! Recent studies have shown that the simple act of drying your hands with an untreated towel can actually increase the number of bacteria on your skin! Defendo Eco Silver Paper® towels are designed precisely to avoid this problem, thanks to their antibacterial action that creates a real hygienic barrier. Washing your hands is important, but drying them properly can make the difference between a safe bathroom and one that lets bacteria proliferate.

Eco Silver Paper® is your perfect partner: we are committed to reducing waste, improving the quality of hygiene and protecting the environment with sustainable and certified products.
